Home Agent Architecture and Algorithms for Mobility Management in Mobile IP Networks
نویسنده
چکیده
This study proposes new Home Agent architecture and algorithms for real-time mobility management in mobile IP networks. The proposed architecture and algorithms offer a better performance based on the call-to-mobility ratio (CMR) and require less time for the location update and the tunneling compared with the Mobile IP model. These results are very useful and interesting for a realtime context where the factor time is very important.

Mobility management in hierarchical multi-hop mobile wireless networks
In this paper, we consider the mobility management in large, hierarchically organized multihop wireless networks. The examples of such networks range from battlefield networks, emergency disaster relief and law enforcement etc. We present a novel network addressing architecture to accommodate mobility using a “Home Agent” concept akin to mobile IP. The performance of the mobility management sch...
متن کاملMobility Management Using P2P Techniques in Wireless Networks
Mobility management is an important task in wireless networks. The Mobile IP protocol provides a basic solution to mobility management in future all-IP wireless network environments. However, Mobile IP suffers from several problems such as triangular routing, long distant and frequent registration update. In this paper, we propose to use the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) network technology to improve Mobi...
متن کاملMobility Management with Distributed AAA Architecture
Mobile IP has been defined by Third Generation Partnership Project 2(3GPP2) to be the mobility solution for the next generation cellular networks. The Mobile IP related issues therefore become important and popular. Mobile IP provides the Mobile Node (MN) the ability of roaming around a foreign domain. An MN needs to register with its Home Agent (HA) through the attached Foreign Agent (FA) when...
متن کاملProxy Home Agents for Route Optimization in HAP Networks
Proxy Home Agent (PHA) functionality is proposed for platform nodes in High Altitude Platform (HAP) networks. The solution enables more efficient backhaul link utilization due to path optimization capabilities in an environment with mobile routers. The existing route optimization function of Mobile IP (MIP) cannot solve this problem, while Hierarchical MIP based route optimization does not map ...
